The International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) invited us to speak about the connections between climate change and the conflict in Syria, particularly about how the story provided by mainstream media is not always accurate.

Our Climate and Migration programme manager Alex Randall unpacked both the media story and the scientific evidence about these connections and discussed how the role of migration – and migrants themselves – is often misunderstood by the press and the general public.

In November 2016 we ran several webinars addressing different issues related to the link between climate change and migration. All of them have been recorded and are (or will be soon) available on our past events page.
