Science communicators

Climate change science isn’t always easy to communicate. We support climate scientists and other technical experts to engage effectively and with confidence – putting the science of climate change communication into practice.

Key to our work with science communicators is our Climate Ambassadors programme. Its aim is to support new and diverse voices from across the climate research community to connect the science with what matters for people. Find out more about the programme and meet our Ambassadors.

For climate experts and researchers, our Public engagement training for climate experts workshop is designed to empower and equip participants to speak confidently about climate change outside of academia.

We've also worked regularly with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), including producing a Communications Handbook (below) and partnering on case studies of how IPCC report authors from around the world are meaningfully engaging with the public.

Read our summary of key insights from our work with climate scientists and other technical experts for effective public engagement.
