Climate Outreach is a growing organisation successfully focused on widening and deepening engagement with one of the world’s most pressing issues.

We have expanded our work, reach and team significantly over the past three years and are now looking for a Non-Executive Treasurer to provide a guiding perspective on the implementation of our ambitious expansion strategy.

You will be joining our established skillful and inspiring voluntary Board of Trustees and replacing our current Treasurer who has come to the end of his term of office.

The role is to provide oversight as bookkeeping, management accounts and annual accounts are taken care of by staff and an external accountant.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • An accounting qualification, or significant experience of financial management
  • Knowledge of charity regulation and law
  • Experience of the running and management of small to medium size charities, including having been a trustee, or having reported to a board of trustees.
  • A commitment to addressing climate change  

To fulfil the role you’ll attend quarterly board meetings which are held alternatively between London and Oxford, with the possibility of accessing two a year remotely.

This is a voluntary role but all travel expenses will be reimbursed. Terms of office are normally three years. We’re hoping the successful person will be able to join our next board meeting at the end of January 2018.
