Philanthropy

Primary school pupils plant and water sunflowers.

Major gifts play a vital role in our climate action work. They help us to be more resilient and sustainable whilst also enabling us to be innovative – for example trialling new projects that we can then roll out on a larger scale, and conducting pioneering research that can initially be hard to fund.

We love building long-term two-way relationships with the individuals, trusts and foundations who want to work with us to drive public engagement with climate change.

Almost 80% of our work is funded by our philanthropic donors. Their support ranges from contributing toward our day-to-day running costs to funding specific projects – bringing about the change we all want to see in how societies tackle climate change.

Climate Outreach’s vision and approach bring about change that most people would have considered impossible. Their research leads the way in engaging people from across society on climate change, with impressive success. Their impact is wide reaching, working alongside key stakeholders and championing voices across the world."
