Event 21 June – Moving Roots: Diaspora power in achieving climate and migrant justice

By Climate Outreach on June 10, 2026

Moving Roots is back this summer for Refugee Week. Join our gathering on Sunday 21 June to explore what power looks like in diaspora communities within the climate and migrant justice space.

We will be exploring how diaspora communities can continue to collectively build connections and platforms, celebrate diaspora knowledge, and practise solidarity in the face of a changing climate and the rising threat of the far-right.

Through open, shared conversations, we will look at different facets of climate-migration, from creative storytelling to legal protections. From there we hope to start building a shared understanding of climate migration, and its intimate impacts on the diaspora together.

Alongside connecting with others working on incredible projects, there will be food, drinks, and musical performances.
