UK Parliament BEIS Select Committee – public engagement with climate change
The UK government’s Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Select Committee undertakes scrutiny of the government’s preparations for the COP26 climate summit. It held a session looking at public engagement, featuring several experts including our Executive Director, Jamie Clarke. Themes included the role that the public and civil society can play in the run up to COP26, the potential to leverage the summit to promote behaviour change, youth engagement with the summit and climate more broadly, and key issues for the UNFCCC ACE dialogues. Following the session, we also submitted written evidence for the Committee.
